A fashionista and a developer paired their expertises to launch ModaMi, a shopping site dedicated to providing users with fashion tips and tricks and a curated closet of clothing to suit their body type and lifestyle. Users receive recommended styles and purchasing options based on proprietary algorithms designed to guide them to their best fashion fits based on the measurements they provide.

SOLUTION

UNIT developed a familiar retail aesthetic and language that helped to bridge the gap between brick and mortar and online shopping. The brand leverages various fashion iconography – from Vogue inspired typography and fashion collages, to dress patterns, stitches and tags. Key icons and infographics were created to help guide users in identifying their body types. UNIT partnered with the ModaMi team to help define target audiences and develop personas, helping establish a visual and communication strategy. Our ongoing collaboration tied to their publishing calendar to promote various trends across their website and app.

RESULTS

Beta users appreciated the clean, clear aesthetic that guided them in identifying their best fashion fits. While the client decided to pivot and sell the proprietary technology behind their initial vision, they have continued to reach out to UNIT for collaborations in new endeavors.
